THE DESTINATION
Mexico City, Mexico
This sprawling, complex, always-changing megalopolis is a study in contrasts. From its epic street food to its chef-driven, pilgrimage-worthy restaurants, Mexico City is arguably the most exciting food city in the world. Its art scene—folk and cutting-edge contemporary—is equally dynamic. And its sophisticated hotels, grand public parks and boulevards, and chic shopping streets rival those of Europe. There’s no way you can see, taste, and do all you want to in one visit. But don’t worry, it’s a place that gets deep under your skin. You’ll be back. Then there's the art scene, where it's no longer just about iconic 20th-century artists like Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, but about new, world-class art institutions like the Soumaya, and the Museo Jumex that have both landed in the last five years. Even tequila has possibly been outdone by hundreds of boutique mezcal brands that spring up on an almost monthly basis. The list goes on.
THE ACCOMMODATION
La Valise Mexico City
Nestled in the vibrant La Roma neighborhood, La Valise Mexico City offers a hidden urban sanctuary for the discerning traveler. In 2014, Yves Naman, a European entrepreneur and passionate traveler, discovered an elegant 1920s French-style townhouse, which would become the heart of this boutique hotel. La Valise presents eight meticulously designed suites, each a refined pied-à-terre for worldly guests. In 2023, the property expanded, introducing a pool, SPA suites, and additional leisurely spaces. Rare collectibles and exquisite antiques adorn every corner, reflecting our deep appreciation for regional art and craftsmanship. As visitors enter Mexico City's surreal energy, they step into a living cabinet of curiosities at La Valise, ready to fill their ‘valises’ and embark on a unique journey.
Artfully Crafted Luxury - Each of the eight elegantly appointed guest suites offers the utmost comfort, uniqueness, and beauty. Designed for lovers of savoir-vivre, these suites boast bespoke furnishings, handpicked artwork, and artisanal objects. Indulge in king-sized beds with 420 thread count linen cotton sheets, a wide variety of luxury amenities, and a mystical ambiance that reflects our love for daydreaming.
